Frequently Asked Questions

  • Owner/Husband

I come from a noble family in culture from regions (North & South). I was born in Faro in the first existing hospital at that time. I hold a degree hotel management and fell in love with serving the public because of its demand. I have worked hard to improve my customer service over the years and am proud to state that customer satisfaction is a trademark of our restaurant.

Personally, I hold a 3rd dan black belt in ju-jitsu. I enjoy farming, working out, and watching our son, Lucas, play football.

  • The Chef/Wife

I was born in Beja. As a true Alentejo woman, I learned my love of cooking from my elders. My grandmother, Alzira, and aunt, Bia, spent countless hours with me in the kitchen as they passed along generations of culinary knowledge. I have had the pleasure of applying my families recipes for over 10 years at Tasca do Ricky.

My greatest satisfaction comes not from a customer compliment, but from their facial expressions as they taste one of my dishes.
